Wow! Mine is 43 years old this year. I think it surpassed 15 years. It was a church beater too.

15 years, they even undstated the qaulity back then. it is/was better then they were advertising. awesome, something that never, ever will happen today. now is the era of bogus longevity claims, overinflated hp ratings, and overall poor quality.

There's a second page to that ad. I believe that is from an issue of National Geographic magazine. I wonder if I still have that issue around somewhere.

The cutting swath looks a bit too small for that deck, doesn't it?

Ha - that is funny - mowing with a hardhat. I guess they were just trying to convey "industrial strength" or something like that.
