Good morning everyone!!!! How's everyone doing this morning???

Well here's what you all have been waiting for. A video of the OL' Girl. I shot the video yesterday morning at work. I figured it was time to see if the engine would hold up to the type of mowing that I do. The engine ran for nearly 9 hours running at full throttle without any problems what so ever. The engine ran nice and smooth. It did a great job mowing through some of the thick grass. You could really hear the engine open up during that time. So all in all I'm pretty pleased with the out come. But either way, here's the vid. I hope you guys like it??? Take care everyone and have yourself a great day.:ThumbsUp:

Hey Matt , Glad to see you got her back together and she is running good !! It is amazing how much power a fresh motor has !! I bet it will last another 40+ years. Have Fun !!!!!

Thank you very much for watching the video and also for the compliments. I really do appreciate it. And you're right, it is amazing how much power a fresh motor has. I always thought the old 7hp engine was running at it's best, that was until I ran this new 8hp engine. Man was I wrong!!!!lol Take care good buddy!!!:ThumbsUp:

Matt, great video. I have owned a couple of Cubs and I have been working on my 149 and am getting the bug bad now. Thanks to guys like you that share their knowledge, pictures and videos I am learning things that are so valuable. The only problem I have with all these pictures and videos is it will cost me money, now I want one of everything!! I do hope in the future to have a gear drive and a Super. Thanks for sharing.

cub149 couldn't have said it any better. i also have got the bug for old cubs now. but i have a question for cub 61. i have been watching your youtube videos with the ol girl and was wondering how you like that king kutter trailer type disc? how would you compare it to a brinly sleeve hitch style disc? thanks

I try to do my very best in sharing what I know about these tractors, whether it be from personal experience or from what I've been told by others. It's why we're all here for. To help each other out. By the way, I'm just like you as well. I would love to own just about every tractor I see here on the forum.lol I do hope you get a Gear Drive and a Super also. Hey ihnick!!! How's it going good buddy!!!!

First of all thank you very much for watching the vids of the OL' Girl. I really do appreciate it. As for the KINGKUTTER Disc Harrow, I honestly have to say that I really do like it. It really does get the job done. How would I compare it to a Brinly Sleeve Hitch Disc Harrow???? I would say that with a KingKutter Disc Harrow you have more options as far as Depth Control and determining how much Down Force you want on the blades, whether it be on the rear or the front of the disc harrow. Which by the way, is all done by adjusting the Top Link that comes attached to the disc harrow. As for the Brinly Disc Harrow, there really isn't much to adjust except for the Lift Handle and also on the sleeve hitch itself. And plus the Brinly Disc harrow weighs very little as for the KingKutter, it weighs at 300lbs.. Which really comes in handy when you're trying to break up clogs of dirt. But there is one down fall to the KingKutter Disc Harrow. You have to use the Crank to raise and lower the Disc Harrow when it comes time to either transport it to another site or to make your turn arounds. Which can get kind of tiring after a while. As for the Brinly Disc Harrow, all you have to do is use your Lift Handle to pick it up off the ground and you're ready to go. So it all comes down to preference and also the kind of job you want the disc harrow to do. But in my honest opinion, I'd pick the KingKutter over the Brinly. Hope this answers your question????
