Replacing 4-Lug Knott Hub 48" Tank Recon

2 Attachment(s)
I am trying to remove the left 4-Lug Knott Hub off my 48" Tank Recon 53AH8ST3050 but don't know how to take it off. I have removed the Cotter Pin, the Shaft Nut and the 6" Stamped Drum but can't get the lug knott hub off. The studs have broken lose and need replaced. Any help would be appreciated.

Use a puller and pull it off.

Tried and sheared a bolt holding the puller together. Will try another puller. It did not budge the first time so I wasn't sure if there was another trick. Thank you for your input.

Buy a better puller..... Spend more than $25.

Tighten the puller up real tight, then hit the puller bolt with a BFH. Don't swell the head too much though, or you'll have trouble getting a wrench back on it.

Can't say for sure, but it appears the hub is on a tapered shaft. So, it's going to be on tight.

Thanks Jonathan, will give that a try. The puller is actually pretty decent I think the bolts were not hardened. Will replace with hardened bolts and get me BFH to hit with. Appreciate your help. I am new to the forums but always willing to try and do the work myself.
